Director General's Statement

As we celebrate 30 years of UCAA, integrating the aviation industry into community empowerment remains a noble endeavor for any aviator. With the steadfast support of the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority, communities around Entebbe International Airport have immensely benefited from the empowerment initiatives led by the Uganda Aeronautical Information Services Officers' Association (UGAISOA).

Although it was a challenging decision to cancel the 2020 Aviation Run due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was undoubtedly the right one. However, this year’s event promises to be bigger and better, with participants joining us from all over the world.

As you take part and donate to this cause, I urge you to grasp the significance of our mission to enhance menstrual hygiene for women and girls. Every step you take and every contribution you make will help provide the necessary products and education to those in need. This effort will empower women and girls to lead healthier, more confident lives, breaking the barriers imposed by inadequate menstrual hygiene.

Be part of this transformative drive as we fundraise to support the vulnerable girl child communities in Namayingo and Budondo districts. Your involvement will ensure that girls can stay in school and pursue their dreams without the hindrance of menstrual health issues.

I am honored to flag you off for the physical run/walk on October 20, 2024. Let’s make this year’s Aviation Run a remarkable success and a testament to our collective commitment to community empowerment and social responsibility.

Thank you for your participation and dedication to this vital cause. Together, we can create a brighter and more inclusive future for all.
