Dear Participants,
There has never been a greater time to give than today, and your presence here speaks volumes about your commitment to making a difference. For the past 8 years, the Uganda Aeronautical Information Services Officers Association (UGAISOA) has been dedicated to uplifting the wellbeing of the needy around Entebbe through various health initiatives. This year, I am thrilled to announce that our focus is on promoting menstrual hygiene and education for women and girls in Uganda.
The issue of menstrual hygiene is one that affects many, yet it is often overlooked. The cost of sanitary products and the lack of education on menstrual health are barriers that many women and girls face. As a result, they often miss out on opportunities, including education, which can have a lasting impact on their futures.
With your help through registration and donations towards the 2024 Aviation Run, we aim to raise funds to provide reusable sanitary towels, hygiene education, and necessary materials to women and girls in the Namayingo and Budondo districts. These funds will not only provide the tools they need but also empower them to lead healthier, more confident lives.
Additionally, part of the proceeds will be used to educate the general public and policy makers about the importance of menstrual hygiene. We hope to influence policies that will ensure menstrual products are accessible and affordable to all, reducing the stigma and challenges associated with menstrual health.
Join us this year in the largest single-day aviation sporting event in Africa to support this crucial cause. Your participation and donations will have a significant impact, helping to keep girls in school and empowering them to achieve their full potential.
Thank you for your partnership in ensuring that women and girls in Uganda can live with dignity and confidence.
